Kelly Gelineau

B.S. in Elementary Education - University of Maine

M.S. in Reading/Language Arts - Eastern Connecticut State University

6th year in Educational Leadership - Sacred Heart University

Educational philosophy:  “Enable all children to reach their full potential.”

Kelly Gelineau joined Southbridge Public Schools in May 2022 after many years in education.  She started her career as a teacher for Eastford Elementary School (Eastford, CT) and then worked as the Language Arts Consultant for Putnam Elementary School (Putnam, CT).  In 2018, she joined Riverside Magnet School at Goodwin University in East Hartford, CT as the Literacy Coach and then was promoted to be the Assistant Principal of the school for three years.  

During her career, Ms. Gelineau has worked with all stakeholders to create improved systems for instruction, intervention, PBIS, behavior, and culturally responsive teaching.  As a parent and educator, Ms. Gelineau is passionate about creating positive relationships among students, teachers, staff, administration, and the community.  She believes that the core of education is building and strengthening relationships to create a sense of community and belonging among all stakeholders. 

Ms. Gelineau brings her love and knowledge of literacy instruction into all aspects of her work.  As a past reading teacher, coach and specialist, she understands the enormous role of excellent literacy instruction to support our students, as they learn to read and then are able to read to learn.  

As the principal of Eastford Road School since 2022, Ms. Gelineau has worked to increase literacy skills for all students and to create a positive school climate for students, families and staff.  She enjoys working with the Southbridge community and partnering with families to provide the best education possible for all Eastford Road Elementary School students.
